Equine Assisted Learning
An experiential approach to teaching LIFE SKILLS using horses.
Do you feel like you are always adding new tasks to your to-do list but never crossing anything out? Equine Assisted Learning will help guide and inspire you and your team to achieve more of your personal and professional goals. Get in touch today and start taking control of your life.
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is an experiential approach to building life skills using horses. Horses are sensitive and aware of their surroundings and quick to react. The boundaries are clear and easy to understand. Horses look for strong leadership and are willing to follow after they find respect and trust. In a horse's world, team work is expected and respected. EAL is an effective approach to human development that encourages individual and team growth.
As a certified facilitator from the Cartier Academy's building block curriculum, we are pleased to bring these programs to the north for families, youth and teams. We personally work with you to build the program to your needs.
Benefits of EAL: self-awareness & self-esteem, trust & respect, relationship building, responsibility, communication skills, problem-solving skills, teamwork & listening skills, appropriate assertiveness, choice-making & goal-setting skills, leadership skills, learn to read body language, negotiation skills, success over obstacles and appreciation of others.
EAL Programs Offered
Guidance & Inspiration
Leadership Program: You will learn to understand your leadership style, become a mindful team member, gain a greater understanding of self and awareness of others, recognize the need to constantly adapt in order to facilitate change leading to success and unlock the barriers that prevent individuals from effectively working together.
Youth Program: Consists of a curriculum that drives objectives to outcomes. The focus is on communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, leadership, teamwork, how to adapt to situations and healthy relationship building.
Family Program: By including horses into specially designed experiential learning exercises, families can learn about themselves and others by participating in the activities with the help of horses. Feelings, behaviors, verbal and non-verbal communication is discussed and addressed. The family program can assist with communication breakdown, blended families, separation/divorce, trauma, transitions and foster care.
Equine Assisted Learning will help guide and inspire you to achieve more of your personal and professional goals. Get in touch today and learn how the programs can reveal your true potential.
